Around the first of October, Dave and I took the kids up in the canyon to see the fall folage. We stopped at casacade springs and walked around for a while. The kids ran around while Dave played around with his camera, then we stopped at a park on the way home to let the kids play. Here are some of the fun shots Dave took that day.

It's Autumn Time!
Around the first of October, Dave and I took the kids up in the canyon to see the fall folage. We stopped at casacade springs and walked around for a while. Busy Month!
October has come and gone and it seems like I'm now just finally getting into the swing things with our school routine. With Nicole and Emma both in school it's been a bit of a juggling act since September to figure out getting to and from school, spending time with each doing homework and extra curricular activities as well as spending time with the two boys at home, and just the normal running of the house. After two months of chaos we've finally found a rhythm that works. It's called DELEGATE and MULTI-TASK!! Dave helps out by driving the girls to school in the morning, Emma and Nicole help each with their reading homework (Nicole has to read out loud for 40 minutes and Emma has to be read to for at least 30 minutes) And I've combined walking the dog while exercising on the treadmill while Cooper naps while Carter watches his pre-school shows on TV all into one hour! Whew!! As busy our days may get, I like having the routine, and order -- at least for a little while until the inevitable "changes" come our way again.
October, aside from the Lagoon Day and Girls Night that I mentioned in my Photo section, It was also Halloween! Our neighborhood puts on a Trunk-or-Treat along with a Chili cook off each year at the Chapel and each year it's gotten bigger and bigger as word has gotten around about how much fun it is. It's really nice, especially with little kids, to be able to hit all the families in the neighborhood within 30 minutes of pacing up and down rows of parked cars in a parking lot. Some families go to great lengths decorating the trunks of their cars now too. Anyway, this year I was the witch who, according to Emma, turned all her darling kids into animals - except for Carter who was my pirate who caught them all. Cooper started out as a lion, but since he was to big for the costume, I changed him to a dog, which worked out well seeing how Nicole was a black cat, and Emma was a mouse.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
