Creating Experiences

Currently my curiosity has been on this idea of experiences.  It all started In August when I attended several classes during Education Week. Each class was focused on various topics ranging from getting picky eaters eating to divine leadership. throughout this week I began to notice a subtle theme emerging from each class.  This idea of experiences.  In the leadership class the guest speaker related the process of how we get the result we do in life.
She explained that our Experiences shape our beliefs, our Belief system shapes our actions, and our Actions create the RESULTS we see in life.  And those results, or the fruit of our experiences, will determine whether or not we continue or change the experience. If we want different, or better results - create different, or better experiences.
So of course I had to test her theory out. I've been feeling the need to have more spiritual sensitivity lately, so I took her advice and consciously created spiritual moments for myself everyday. For me that meant listening to gospel messages on my iPod while making meals or cleaning house. It's still a work in progress, but I have noticed differences in my life.  I have found myself thinking more often of others AND acting on those thoughts and impressions.  I'm hoping this is more than a phase for me, since I tend to get all gun ho about something for a while, and then burn out.  To avoid the burn-out scenario I'm pacing myself and only listening to 1-2 messages a day.
